London: Get ready for some fun at Covent Garden this February Half Term! The London Transport Museum is hosting a week packed with creative activities. It’s all about celebrating those iconic transport posters that have been around for over a century.
From February 15 to 20, the museum on Wellington Street will have workshops, tours, and exhibitions that the whole family can enjoy. There’s something for everyone!
One of the highlights is the “Strike a Pose” workshop. It’s designed for little ones under five, where they can learn about the characters from classic posters through dance and drama. How cool is that?
Older kids can get in on the action too! They can create their own posters in the Artist’s Studio or join the “Layers of London” session to build an artwork of the city. It’s a great way to spark their creativity.
Families will also get to explore how Jewish artists have influenced London’s transport poster legacy. The Jewish Museum London team will share stories and let everyone make posters in those celebrated styles.
And don’t miss the family tours of the Global Poster Gallery! It showcases over 100 historic transport posters from the museum’s amazing collection.
