London: Aldi is gearing up to open nine new stores in London as part of a big investment. They’re putting in £55 million to make this happen within the M25 area. Four of the new locations have already been announced, and they’re set to welcome shoppers in the next year.

So, where are these new stores going? Well, you can expect them in Wimbledon, Fulham Broadway, Caterham, and Orpington by 2025. This is all part of Aldi’s larger £650 million investment in the UK this year, which also includes some upgrades to existing stores, like an extension at the Colindale location in Barnet.

Aldi is really committed to making its presence felt in London. They plan to open 100 stores in the city, which could create around 3,500 new jobs. Jonathan Neale, Aldi UK’s managing director of national real estate, mentioned that they believe everyone in Britain deserves access to high-quality food at their unbeatable prices. They know many Londoners still don’t have an Aldi nearby, and they want to change that.

Neale also pointed out that it’s not fair for people to pay high prices at other supermarkets. That’s why they’re focusing on expanding in London. Plus, Aldi has been recognized as the UK’s cheapest supermarket for 2024 by Which? for the fourth consecutive year. So, it looks like they’re really making a mark!
