Kansas City: So, the Chiefs had quite the wait today. They spent more time on the tarmac than they will on the field tomorrow, even if the game goes into overtime.

According to the Associated Press, their flight to Denver finally took off after a four-hour delay. Can you believe that?

The whole mess was caused by an ice storm that shut down the Kansas City airport. They tried to leave early, but the plane was late getting there. Eventually, all flights were grounded because of the ice buildup.

When the airport finally opened up again, the Chiefs’ flight was the first one to take off. Talk about luck!

Now, they’re set to face the Broncos on Sunday. For the Chiefs, this game doesn’t mean much since they’ve already clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference. But for the Broncos, it’s a big deal. They need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Even if the Broncos lose, they could still sneak into the playoffs if other teams lose too. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are resting their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and some other key players. They’re prioritizing rest over knocking the Broncos out of contention.
