New York: So, Aaron Rodgers was on The Pat McAfee Show recently, and he joked about being “released by a teenager” at the end of the season. This was in response to some chatter about how Jets owner Woody Johnson’s sons might be influencing decisions.

He’s mentioned before that he wouldn’t be shocked if he got cut right after the season. When asked if he had any hints about that happening, he said he’s heard “zero” from the team. But, you know, he thinks anything could happen since he hasn’t talked about 2025 yet.

When someone asked if Woody would want him back, Rodgers just said, “You should ask Woody.” He thinks the team needs to sort out their General Manager and head coach first before making any decisions about him.

Rodgers mentioned, “I would be surprised if there was a conversation now because there’s so many uncertainties.” He pointed out that they need to hire a G.M. first, and then that person will help pick the head coach. So, he’s got to be part of the plans for a bunch of folks, starting with ownership.

Even with a knee injury, he’s planning to play against the Bills this week and also aims to be on the field in Week 18. But it sounds like any big decisions will take some time to unfold.
