Aberlour: So, there was a bit of a scare in the village when the A95 had to be closed. It all started with a report of a suspicious smell coming from a property on High Street.

Emergency services jumped into action just before 1 PM. They evacuated several homes as a precaution. It was a tense moment for everyone involved.

Firefighters, police, and ambulance crews all showed up to check things out. They took the situation seriously, which is good, but thankfully, it turned out to be a false alarm.

According to a spokesperson from Police Scotland, they got the call around 12:50 PM. They quickly set up road closures and cordons to keep people safe.

After some investigation, they found that the substance wasn’t harmful at all. By around 1:50 PM, everything was back to normal, and folks could return home.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was just a false alarm. No one was hurt, and they made sure the area was safe before leaving.

It’s a relief that it was nothing serious, but it sure got the community buzzing for a bit!
