Nottingham: The A52 roundabout by the Queen’s Medical Centre is closing again. This is for bridge repairs, and it’s happening next weekend.

The closure starts at 8 PM on Friday, February 7, and ends at 6 AM on Monday, February 10. They’ve set a backup date for the following weekend if needed.

This comes after some closures on the A6514 Middleton Boulevard this weekend. Traffic was rerouted using the slip roads, which can be a hassle.

The last time they closed the roundabout was on January 25 and 26 for similar repairs. This roundabout is a key route for people heading to the hospital.

The damage dates back to 2018 when a lorry hit a beam. The repairs will mean several road closures, including the A52 eastbound from Priory roundabout to the QMC roundabout.

Also, the QMC roundabout will be closed between the A6514 Middleton Boulevard northbound entry slip road and the southbound exit slip road.

Lane one of the northern bridge will stay closed all the time. National Highways is advising drivers to expect delays and plan for extra travel time.

They’ve set up diversions to help ease the traffic. So, if you’re driving in that area, keep an eye out for signs and follow the detours.
