Nottingham: So, here’s the scoop. If you’re driving on the A52, you’ll want to pay attention. The QMC roundabout is shutting down for some serious bridge repairs. This is happening over two weekends in January and February.

National Highways is taking care of this. They need to replace a beam that got damaged back in 2018 when a lorry hit it. They’re saying it’s all part of keeping the roads safe.

The first closure kicks off at 8 PM on Friday, January 24, and wraps up at 6 AM on Monday, January 27. Then, there’s another one from 8 PM on February 7 to 6 AM on February 10. So, mark your calendars!

They’re warning everyone that these routes will be busy, so it’s a good idea to plan your trips and maybe leave a bit earlier than usual.

As for the bridge itself, they expect to have everything fixed by summer 2025. But keep in mind, these closure dates could change, so stay tuned for updates.

They’ve even set up backup dates just in case things need to shift around. So, if you’re traveling during those weekends, just be prepared for some detours.
