A465 Closed in Three Directions After Serious Collision This Morning
A serious collision has led to the A465 being closed in multiple directions, causing traffic delays in Cefn Coed near Merthyr Tydfil

Merthyr Tydfil: A serious crash this morning has shut down the A465. South Wales Police are on the scene where the A465 meets the A470 in Cefn Coed.
The road is closed in three directions, starting from the A470 Cefn Coed roundabout. It’s blocked up to the Storey Arms, towards Baverstocks, and also towards Brecon Road. If you’re driving in the area, it’s best to find another route.
Expect delays, as the police have warned. Traffic monitoring service Inrix mentioned that the road has been closed since 6 am, but traffic is still moving fairly well overall. They noted that the A465 Heads Of The Valleys Road is closed due to the accident.
Meanwhile, the AA is reporting some traffic near the roundabout linked to the A470. The police reiterated that they’re dealing with a serious collision at the A465 and A470 junction.
