Worcester: A car went off the road on the A4440 Grange Way near the Newtown Road roundabout on Friday morning. Thankfully, the driver was reported to be just fine after the incident.

The crash caused a bit of a scene, with a section of the road coned off. You had police cars and an ambulance zooming in with their lights flashing. A recovery truck was also on the scene to help out.

According to a spokesperson from the West Midlands Ambulance Service, they got a call about the crash just before 8 am. When they arrived, they found the car off the road, and the driver, a man, was checked out by the ambulance crew.

Good news: he didn’t need to go to the hospital. They gave him some self-care advice and sent him on his way right there at the scene.

This crash happened while drivers were already facing delays from another incident on the M5, where two lorries collided. That mess had three lanes closed and caused delays of up to an hour.

We reached out to West Mercia Police for more details about the A4440 crash, but we’re still waiting to hear back.
