Cornwall: The A30 will see closures between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross. This is part of a big project to finish the £330 million dualling work.
The dual carriageway opened last June, but some work is still ongoing. This includes road markings, signage, and planting along the 8.7-mile stretch.
They are also working on tunnels and a green bridge at Marazanvose. This bridge will have two decks and paths for walkers and horse riders.
National Highways and contractor Costain will manage lane closures to finish the work. The old A30 will become the B3288/B3285 and will be handed over to Cornwall Council.
Henver Lane to Boxheater will reopen in mid-February. Chybucca to Henver Lane will open at the end of February.
In March, there will be a full closure between Carland Cross and Boxheater. The Trevalso Lane underbridge is set to open at the end of February.
Work on the B3288 at Treworrian Manor will cause diversions via Newquay and Goonhavern. The road is expected to fully reopen by Easter weekend.
From April 21 to May 5, the B3288 will close at night. Work on Carland Cross South Roundabout starts on February 3 at night.
Marazanvose green bridge and Tolgroggan overbridge will be completed by Spring 2025. The Pennycomequick underbridge should open by May.
National Highways stated they are working to reopen the old A30 as the B3288. This will happen between Chybucca and Boxheater in mid to late February 2025.
During the closure, local traffic will be diverted along Henver Lane. Residents will have 24/7 access through a manned gate. The rest of the work is expected to finish by Spring 2025.
