Durham: This morning, the A19 was shut down after a couple of crashes. It’s a real mess out there, and one guy ended up in the hospital with some serious injuries.
So, here’s what happened. The police got a call about a car that had veered off the road and hit a tree around 4:57 AM. They were on the scene when another vehicle crashed into the first one. Talk about bad luck!
Now, the southbound lane is closed, and they’ve set up a diversion. The police are urging drivers to steer clear of the area and find another route while they sort everything out.
A spokesperson from Durham Police mentioned that they’re leading the response and that some streetlights got damaged too. They’ll need to check those out before reopening the road.
