Stroud: Exciting news for swimmers! A natural swimming pool is in the works in the Cotswolds. It’s a great option for those hot summer days when you just want to cool off.

This pool will be located at Court Farm in Gloucestershire, near Stroud. It’s designed to be a clean and safe spot for everyone to enjoy swimming all year round. Plus, one section will be heated using geothermal energy, so you can take a dip even in winter!

Outdoor swimming has tons of benefits. It can help with circulation, reduce pain, and even boost your mood. So, having a clean place to swim is a big deal.

Stroud Waters plans to have at least two main pools. One will be heated, while the other will change with the seasons. They’re also looking to add fun features like lane swimming, a dipping zone, and family areas. How cool is that?

What makes this pool special is its focus on using aquatic plants and biofiltration systems. This means the water will be chemical-free and super clean. The design will blend beautifully with the surrounding fields and trees.

However, there’s still a lot to do before it opens. Community Waters CIC needs to raise over £36,000 for the project, and they’ve already got £26,000 pledged. Once they secure the funding, they’ll conduct a feasibility study to address any potential issues.

If everything goes well, the natural swimming pool could be ready by 2026. It’s an exciting project that could really enhance the local community. Keep an eye out for updates!
