Okeechobee: So, there’s this wild story about a 78-year-old guy named John Henry Mallouk who went missing two years ago. Recently, his home in Florida just caught fire, and it’s making everyone wonder what’s going on.
The fire happened on January 10, and it completely destroyed his house. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is looking into it, trying to figure out if the fire has anything to do with his disappearance back in January 2023. A family member reported him missing, and it’s been a mystery ever since.
John hasn’t been seen since August 2022, which is why the sheriff’s office got involved. After the fire, they went back to the property to see if they could find any clues about where he might be.
When they first checked out his place after he went missing, they didn’t find anything suspicious. No signs of a struggle or anything like that. The doors were unlocked, food was still in the fridge, and his cell phone was just sitting on the counter.
After the fire, the sheriff’s office shared some photos showing the burned-out house. It looked pretty bad, with ash everywhere and even a classic 1955 Thunderbird convertible in the garage that got damaged.
Now, detectives are asking anyone who might know something about the fire or where John could be to reach out to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. It’s a strange situation, and they’re hoping to get some answers soon.
