76ers Star Embiid Will Miss Wednesday’s Game Against Kings
Joel Embiid will sit out the game against the Kings for rest, as the Sixers prepare for a back-to-back matchup this week.
Joel Embiid, Philadelphia, Kings, NBA, Sixers
This game is the first of a back-to-back for the Sixers, with the next one against the Warriors on Thursday. Embiid has been wearing a mask since he came back from a sinus fracture. He had a fantastic game recently, scoring 37 points against the Trail Blazers.
The Sixers are on a roll, aiming for their fifth win in a row. Meanwhile, the Kings are trying to find their footing under their new interim coach, Doug Christie.
A couple of players are still out for the Sixers, including Jared McCain and KJ Martin. Some veterans are questionable, so it’ll be interesting to see who steps up. If Drummond can’t play, rookie Adem Bona might get more minutes.
Guerschon Yabusele has been doing great as the backup center, averaging over 14 points and 5 rebounds during the winning streak. He’s been shooting really well, too.
So, it should be an exciting game, even without Embiid on the court!
