San Francisco: The 49ers are getting a boost with running back Isaac Guerendo back in action for Monday Night Football. He missed last week due to a hamstring issue but is good to go now.
Last week, Patrick Taylor Jr. filled in for him against the Dolphins. But with Guerendo back, the team is feeling more confident heading into the game against the Lions.
It’s been a tough season for the 49ers’ backfield, with Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell, and Jordan Mason all on injured reserve. Guerendo stepped up as a starter on December 8, and now he’s ready to shine.
However, the team will be without some key players. Offensive guards Spencer Burford and Aaron Banks, defensive end Robert Beal, and linebacker Dre Greenlaw are all ruled out for the game.
On the flip side, cornerback Charvarius Ward, safety Ji’Ayir Brown, offensive tackle Colton McKivitz, and linebacker Tatum Bethune are listed as questionable. It’s going to be an interesting night!
