Glendale: So, the 49ers are making some moves ahead of their game against the Cardinals. They’ve activated veteran receiver Trent Taylor, which is pretty exciting since it’s only his second time suiting up this season.
They also placed a couple of players on injured reserve, including Spencer Burford. It’s a tough break for the team, especially with so many players already on IR. They’re really feeling the injury bug this season.
Along with Taylor, they’ve brought up rookie offensive lineman Drake Nugent from the practice squad. It’s a big chance for him, and he’s hoping to make an impact. They also activated Alex Barrett and DeShaun White, which adds some depth to the roster.
It’s wild to think the 49ers are finishing the season with 18 players on IR. That’s a lot! Some big names are on that list too, like Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel. It’s been a rough ride.
Speaking of injuries, quarterback Brock Purdy is out with an elbow issue. Coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned that if things were different, Purdy might have had a shot to play. But it sounds like they’re being cautious with him.
All in all, it’s going to be an interesting game. The 49ers are hoping to end the season on a high note, despite all the challenges they’ve faced.
