Philadelphia: So, the Sixers faced off against the Pacers, and it was a tough night. Joel Embiid only played one half before he had to leave the game after taking a hit to the face. The team ended up losing 121-107, which is a bummer since they were hoping to grab another win.
Embiid was having a decent game, dishing out assists and trying to make plays. But then, out of nowhere, he got hit by Bennedict Mathurin while going for a rebound. He walked off holding a towel to his face, and you could tell everyone was worried about him. The team said he’ll need more tests, so fingers crossed he’s okay.
Without him, the Sixers really struggled. They were already missing a couple of players, and it showed. Tyrese Maxey did his best, scoring 22 points, but it just wasn’t enough. The Pacers took advantage of the Sixers’ mistakes, especially with turnovers. It felt like every time the Sixers made a mistake, Indiana was right there to capitalize.
In the second half, the Sixers tried to make a comeback. They got within a few points, but it just didn’t stick. The Pacers kept hitting their shots, and the Sixers ran out of steam. Now, all anyone can think about is Embiid’s health and what this means for the team moving forward.
