Thane: So, a 26-year-old guy got himself into some serious trouble in Thane. He was arrested for having 34 grams of mephedrone, which is worth about Rs 1.08 lakh. The police were just doing their usual patrol when they spotted him.

They stopped him on MIDC road in Dombivili, and after a quick search, they found the drugs. The police have charged him under the NDPS Act, which is all about controlling narcotics in India.

This arrest isn’t an isolated incident. Just recently, the police had a few other drug busts, including a stash of ganja and some cough syrup. They’re really ramping up their efforts to tackle drug trafficking in the area.

DCP Atul Zende mentioned that they’re not backing down. They’ve set up special teams to keep an eye on drug-related activities. He also encouraged everyone to stay alert and report anything suspicious. It’s all about keeping the community safe, right?
