Little Gransden: So, there’s a bit of a hassle coming up. Starting Monday, January 13, the High Street/Longstowe Road is going to be closed for over two weeks. Yep, roadworks are on the agenda.
Cambridgeshire County Council is in charge of the resurfacing work. They’ll be out there from 7:30 in the morning until 5 in the evening, trying to get things sorted.
This closure is set to last until January 31, so if you’re planning to drive through, you’ll need to find another way. They’re advising everyone to plan ahead.
A spokesperson from the council mentioned that the road is closed to all vehicles until the end of the month for these works. So, keep that in mind!
As for the diversion, it’s quite the detour. Drivers will have to take a longer route that adds about 11 miles and an extra 23 minutes to their journey. It’ll take you down several roads, including Longstowe Road and Cambridge Road.
